Looking for a fun way to inspire creativity while also showing your wee ones where eggs come from? A company called hensforhire.com has the right idea.
You'd be surprised as to how many kids haven't made the connection from chickens to eggs.
Hens, according to hensforhire, make excellent teaching aids. Not only can you whip up a frittata with freshly-laid eggs during cookery classes, but you can calculate the number of eggs in math equations ('if three hens each laid an egg a day, how many eggs would you have in a week?'). There are some great science experiments that involve blowing up eggs, and in English lessons, the chickens, apparently, inspire creative writing. Who knew?!
