Dressing for Success

We wanted to take a minute of your time today to talk about a truly inspiring organization that was recently featured on Kimora: Life in the Fab Line.

Dress for Success recently partnered with Kimora Lee Simmons to complete 100 makeovers on 100 different women. The mission of Dress for Success is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

We are big proponents in taking care of yourself to show others you take pride in your appearance, this is especially true within the event planning industry when presentation matters more than most!

Below is a before and after shot to show you the impact. The photos in this post were taken by the fantastic Maya Myers. Head over to www.mayamyers.com to see more or her amazing event photography and to inquire about reserving her to document your next event. We are particularly in love with her ability to capture the emotion of a wedding.

These makeover photos definitely show you that the proof is in the pudding and a makeover can change how you carry yourself because you are now proud to present yourself to the world. You’d be amazed at how the world responds to you in return. We wanted congratulate these women for taking the first brave step of securing their future.
